[ Having Byleth arrive without being accosted would further be ideal to Bondrewd, as he quite liked the young man — and valued the work they were attempting to do together. To obtain answers for Byleth about the structure of his form was as vital to him as obtaining a few samples from him, for future work. When Byleth cuts contact, Bondrewd expects he will be en route, and thus proceeds to finish the observations he is engaged in and clean up his immediate work area. Sanitizing it and laying out fresh supplies — bandages, gauze, sterilizing chemicals, vials, gleaming blades and other materials in preparation for his arrival.
Once he has completed preparing the room, he turns on a few extra lights — so as to look his otherwise dark and gloomy workspace ( something he is used to ) appear a little more inviting, and steps out into the warehouse he is still cleaning and repairing. He pats the sides of some of the extant species of fungi on their towering stalks, causing them to glow a little more in response to stimuli, and heads for the front door to await Byleth's arrival. He has always preferred being there to greet his arrivals, and finds that his combat-focused form has proven a little more cumbersome in social situations.
Aka. he misses his greeting body, the streamlined and casual shape of it!!
Upon spotting Byleth, he reaches a hand out in offering, his tone mild and pleasantly neutral, as always: ] Mister Eisner, welcome. This is my personal laboratory, separate from my work in the Burning Gardens. Come in. Would you like something to drink while we discuss what I wish to do in devotion to finding you some answers?
